Payments & Shipping
 
     We accept major credit cards through PayPal.  PayPal is a safe and secure method of using your Visa, Discover, American Express and Master Charge, as a method of payment for your purchases.
 
      PayPal utilizes a powerful encryption method (SSL - secure socket layer) to help protect your personal information.  You do not need a PayPal account to pay with your credit card.  When paying for your purchase, you are given the option to sign up for a PayPal account, or make a straight forward purchase using a major credit card.  If you have concerns, about PayPal's security, you may want to visit www.PayPal.com.
 
      Shipments within California will be charged 7.25% sales tax.
 
 
Shipping Methods
 
     Due to recent changes in USPS shipping charges, we may choose to ship the box UPS instead of USPS.  This is at our discretion.  We will endeavor to make the shipping charges as minimal as possible.
 
     Most items are shipped via USPS or UPS. All items are shipped within 3-5 days after payment is received or unless otherwise specified.  We do not ship on weekends or holidays.
 
     International customers including Alaska and Hawaii, must contact us for additional shipping charges.
 
     Shipping insurance is included with all UPS shipments.  Shipping insurance is optional with (United States Postal Service) shipments.  We do not cover lost or damaged items without shipping insurance.  Some of our items are one of a kind, and are not likely to be replaceable. 
 
 
Returns & Refunds
 
     Customer satisfaction is extremely important to us, and we are confident you will be pleased with your merchandise.  However, returned items must be received within 7-days of their original purchase date.  They must have a return authorization code, issued via e-mail.  Returns will then be issued an exchange or refund only if they are undamaged and in their original packaging. 
 
     For your protection, insurance is required for the full value of your return.  We will not be responsible for return shipping fees. Lost or damaged items shipped, without shipping insurance are not subject to our return or refund policy.
 
     All refunds will be credited back to a valid PayPal account only.  If there is not a valid PayPal account, a store credit will be issued.  
 
 
Privacy
 
     The Contessa's Cottage respects your privacy, and assures you that we will maintain and use your personal information responsibly.  Your information will not be given to any third party with out your permission.
